Fairbanks, on the other hand, the largest city in the interior of Alaska does not appear in either safest nor most dangerous cities ranking, as it is moderate in terms of safety; with a total of 4847 crime rate per 100,000 people. 

Alaska's Emerald Isle, the city of Kodiak, ranks at #7 safe-wise, with a crime rate of 5228 per 100,000 people.
