Memphis, however, the 2nd largest city after Nashville ranked at #8 most dangerous city in the state with a 7455 crime rate per 100,000 people. In addition, Knoxville also ranked as the 14th most dangerous with a 6429 crime rate per 100,000 people. As for the most dangerous city in Tennessee, it is Newport with a 10790 crime rate per 100,000 people.
